vegetable flowers

My daughters' books say that bees collect pollen on their legs. This one seems to be more into the whole body experience. We are grateful, of course, however they choose to pollinate.

eggplant flower

gee, thanks! I couldn't figure out how to use my husband's camera for the longest time, then realized the problem was that I was trying to take pictures of the kids. For flowers, it's great!

Aren't they pretty? Worth growing for the flowers, I think. Luckily L loves the stuff, as you know. Takes after her daddy...

I'm really enjoying your blog. Your photos are so detailed...I love it. It's been so hot and rainy here in South Florida lately. It's a good thing my garden is in an above ground container, otherwise I'd be replacing soil every day. I admire your garden very much...it looks like a lot of work! I look forward to your new posts!

Sincerely,
Kellie

Ooo, Florida. Please let me know if you have any warm-climate gardening advice. I am still amazed at being able to grow year round, and all the flowers I thought were annuals never die. Thank you for reading!
